From the fabrics we choose to the manufacturing partners we work with, we put thought and care into every step of creating our pieces.
We’re a small Australian brand, created by a mum of three, and we’re learning and growing every day. Being small means we can be hands-on, ask questions and be thoughtful about the choices we make.

THOUGHTFULLY DESIGNED IN AUSTRALIA
Every Little Kid Co. collection starts right here in Australia.
From choosing colours and fabrics to creating prints, embroidery and those tiny finishing details, our pieces are thoughtfully designed with real little kids and everyday family life in mind.
We work closely with our manufacturing partners throughout sampling and development, refining our designs before they make their way to you.
Our goal is simple: beautiful pieces you’ll love, with the comfort little ones need to actually be little.
CHOOSING WHO MAKES OUR CLOTHING MATTERS
We don’t believe choosing a manufacturer should simply come down to who can make something the cheapest.
We carefully consider the manufacturing partners we work with and review relevant independent testing, certification and compliance documentation available to us.
Where possible, we also take steps to verify important information rather than simply taking a claim at face value.
For us, responsible sourcing starts with asking questions, doing our due diligence and continuing to learn more about the people, materials and processes behind our clothing.
PEOPLE MATTER TOO
The people behind our clothing are an important part of the story.
Our primary manufacturing partner has undergone amfori BSCI social compliance monitoring, an independent monitoring process that assesses working conditions and social performance within manufacturing facilities.
The monitoring process considers areas including workers’ rights, fair remuneration, working hours, workplace health and safety, protection of young workers and the prevention of child and bonded labour.
We believe choosing manufacturing partners with established social compliance processes is an important part of making more considered sourcing decisions.
FABRICS CHOSEN WITH LITTLE ONES IN MIND
Little kids don’t exactly take it easy on their clothes.
They crawl in them, climb in them, nap in them, spill things on them, wash them and wear them all over again.
So when we’re choosing fabrics, we’re looking for more than something that simply looks beautiful.
Across our collections you’ll find carefully selected materials including organic cotton, cotton and bamboo blends, depending on the needs of each piece.
We consider softness, breathability, stretch, durability and, most importantly, how a fabric feels when little ones are actually wearing it.
You’ll find the specific fabric composition on our individual product pages, so you can see exactly what you’re choosing for your little one.
ORGANIC COTTON
Organic cotton is one of our favourite fabrics for little ones, which is why you’ll find it throughout selected Little Kid Co. pieces.
We love it for its beautifully soft feel, breathability and comfort for everyday wear.
Where a Little Kid Co. product is made using organic cotton, we’ll clearly tell you in the individual product description.
We believe in being specific about the materials used in our pieces rather than making broad claims across our entire range.
TESTING & DUE DILIGENCE
There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes before a product becomes part of Little Kid Co.
Our manufacturing partners maintain a range of independent testing, certification and compliance documentation relevant to the products they manufacture.
As part of our sourcing process, we review relevant information available to us and, where appropriate, seek further clarification or verification.
Standards and requirements can differ between products and markets, which is why we prefer to do this work quietly in the background rather than make blanket certification claims across everything we sell.
For us, it’s about making more informed decisions about the products we put the Little Kid Co. name on.
SMALL & CONSIDERED COLLECTIONS
We’re not interested in creating huge quantities of clothing simply for the sake of having more.
As a small brand, our collections are produced in considered quantities. This allows us to create intentionally, listen to our customers and continue improving with every collection.
It does mean your favourite colour or size might sometimes sell out — but we’d rather grow thoughtfully than overproduce.
MADE FOR REAL LITTLE KIDS
Our clothes aren’t designed to sit perfectly folded on a shelf.
They’re designed to be lived in.
For crawling knees, playground adventures, afternoon naps, messy lunches, family days out and all the wonderfully chaotic moments in between.
We want our pieces to combine beautiful design with everyday comfort and practicality, so they’re worn and loved again and again — and hopefully passed down to another little one when they’re eventually outgrown.

We won’t pretend to be perfect, and we won’t make claims we can’t stand behind.
