Little Kid Co. was born from a love of the childhood we remember — long summer days, playground adventures, beach trips, scraped knees, hand-me-downs and clothes that were actually made to be lived in.
We create original kids wear inspired by that feeling, reimagined for the little kids making those memories now.
Designed in Australia in small, thoughtful collections, our pieces are made for playing, exploring, growing and all the everyday mess in between.
Because childhood goes quickly.
We want to make clothes worthy of remembering it in.
MEET THE MUM BEHIND LKC
Hi, I’m Shanae — mum of three and the person behind Little Kid Co.
LKC started during maternity leave with my youngest, from a pretty simple idea: I wanted to create children’s clothes that felt different from everything else I was seeing.
Pieces with personality. Clothes that brought back a little bit of the childhood I remembered, while still feeling comfortable, wearable and special enough for the little kids growing up now.
After years working in retail and sales management, alongside running my photography business, I decided to take that idea and turn it into something of my own.
And somewhere along the way, Little Kid Co. became about more than clothes.
It became something I’m building while my own kids are growing up beside me — and hopefully a little reminder to them that the ideas in your head are worth chasing.

Our collections aren’t simply picked from a catalogue and given an LKC label.
We thoughtfully develop our colours, prints, graphics and details to create pieces that feel unmistakably Little Kid Co.
There’s a little nostalgia woven through it all — a nod to the 80s, 90s and early 2000s childhood we remember, without feeling like a costume from the past.
We make our collections in considered batches and choose fabrics with softness, comfort, quality and everyday wear in mind.
Because kids’ clothes shouldn’t just look good on a hanger.
They should survive being a kid in.

That’s one of my favourite things about being a small business.

Little Kid Co. is based in East Gippsland, Victoria, but our little clothes are already finding their way into wardrobes and childhood memories all around Australia.
And while we love seeing your orders come through online, we love meeting you in real life too.
